HYDERABAD: Despite the dark clouds of the global financial crisis and the overhang of local uncertainties like the T-issue and political turmoil hovering over the state’s IT/ITeS sector, not only are new players looking at setting up shop in the state, IT/ITeS players are continuing with their hiring spree in the state.
HYDERABAD: The city’s performance in SSC has been low consistently in the last five years. Though Hyderabad’s performance in the state board examinations has been improving over the last five years, from 66% in 2008 to 76.94% in 2012, the number of students flunking the test is still the highest in the city.
A city battling poor water supply has to deal with a graver concern, that of poor quality water. Tests conducted on ‘drinking’ water reveal that Hyderabadis cannot consume water without treating it. The authorities remain unaffected by this dirty reality even as the city’s reservoirs double up as swimming pools.
