Citymonitor.org is a think-and-do-tank that conducts research, projects and training on urban policy issues both in Italy and abroad.

We produce practical research and policy advice to inspire new strategies for changing.

Our approach combines accurate analysis and practical solutions, often involving local actors.

A part from the online international urban policies press review, other services include:

Advice and consultancy projects

Projects aimed to advice public policy decision making, mainly at a local and urban government level: outlining internationalization plans and marketing strategies for cities; promoting Italian urban economies abroad; managing deliberative democracy events for public policies; organizing

local government agencies and structures coherently with policy decisions.

Research

Reports and Citysolutions are periodically released publications that can be downloaded from free from the dedicated area of the site.

Reports give a snapshot of some urban development dynamics according to the most interesting news gathered by Citymonitor.org.

Citysolutions show “smart solutions” adopted by the cities monitored by Citymonitor.org on different issues (e.g. traffic management, sustainable development, energy saving, and so on), small and big practical and replicable experiences that may impact on urban quality.

Citymonitor.org also conducts ad hoc researches and surveys commissioned by private and public organizations, both in Italy and abroad.

Training

Training activities are: seminars and ad hoc courses on urban policy issues, mainly addressed to local public administrators.
